Ana Belchí

I eat alphabetical alphabet soup. I teach how to work the polymer clay and resin. I make stuff and I have a Youtube channel

For many years she has advertised herself as: «a contemporary jewelry designer specializing in the use of polymer clay, brass and silver as means of artistic expression. Ana Belchí's extensive professional experience is structured around three main axes: technical, educational and social…»

But the passing of the years has made her realize that above an artist or designer she is a teacher, or rather a master craftsman. Understanding that term as referring to the master craftsman who knows the use of a material and transmits it to his student.

So, she has got rid of the weight of creating objects where the artistic value is the goal, to teach how to make them.

Her extensive teaching and social work have combined them by participating as a professional teacher in training workshops and special employment centres for people with severe mental illness. As well as working groups at a national and international level. Among their achievements are the organization of workshops in regulated artistic jewellery schools, training for companies in the sector or major international trade fairs (Frankfurt, Paris, Lisbon…).

On a technical level, the training received from the most renowned international artists and the continuous personal experimentation, place her as one of the references of the current panorama.

In the last year and a half, she has been working with polymer clay through her YouTube channel.
